WD® Replacement Lyre/Maestro Style Vibrola For Gibson® Guitars
These types of vibrola tailpieces were used on many Gibson® guitars in the mid-late 1960's.
The Long Gibson® style vibrato tailpiece includes the vibrola mechanism, arm, and covered trapeze style mount. Available in chrome, nickel, and gold finishes. These are replications of the OEM equipment used on Gibson® ES series guitars such as the 335®, 345®, 355® as well as the SG®, SG® Custom and Firebird® model guitars.
The short Gibson® style vibrato tailpiece includes the vibrola mechanism and arm with the flat style mount. Available in chrome, nickel, and gold finishes. These are replications of the OEM equipment used on Gibson® guitars such as the Firebird®, SG® Jr, SG® Special, SG® Custom, Melody Maker®, and '67 Flying V® Reissues.
As the title says, I'd love to see instructions on how to install it on guitars which have never had a tree or have had one of the earlier terms. Lots of research is mandatory but a set of varied instructions would be wonderful.
Exact Drop-n Replacement
The Lyre/Maestro Style Vibrola For GibsonŽ Guitars Short Chrome was an exact drop-in replacement for a missing Vibola on a vintage Gibson Melody Maker that came through my shop recently. Easy to install.
