Non-Pickguard Returns

Prior to returning, you must fill out an RMA Request Form or contact Customer Service at 800.449.9348 for an RMA number. All returns must have an RMA number. Any items returned without an RMA or complete original packaging/contents will be refused. If the reason for return is our error (incorrect or defective items) full credit will be refunded. Any part which, in our opinion, shows evidence of being used or installed contrary to manufacturer's instructions, and/or subjected to improper handling, packaging, or shipping by the customer will not be eligible for exchange, refund or warranty consideration. We reserve the right to charge a 15% restocking fee or refuse any exceptions. No RMA will be issued beyond 30 days of original receipt of goods by the customer. RMA's are expected to be returned within 15 days of receipt of RMA number.

Special sales & clearance items are "final sale" and ineligible for return. Exceptions will be made for factory defects or errors in shipment.

Pickguard Returns

If you do not see your specific model of instrument listed in our store or would like additional modifications not available online, we encourage you to communicate with our staff prior to purchase. Our expert team will work with you to confirm the product you are ordering is the right fit for your instrument. To help with choosing the right material we also provide a free sample service within the continental USA.

WD was the first to pioneer the aftermarket pickguard industry in 1978, ever since we've been the industry's most reliable source for replacement pickguards. Our standard pickguards are guaranteed to fit the original, unmodified instrument model intended as listed (may be indicated by country of origin, manufactured date, specific brand/model/series, etc). Custom shop pickguards are guaranteed to be cut accurately to the customer provided original template.

Pickguard Return Policy

Pickguard Warranty

Please do not remove the protective cover film or place any components on the pickguard until you have test fit the pickguard to the instrument. Please ensure all mounting holes, pickup cuts, and other component locations are positioned correctly prior to installation using any tools, hardware, screws, or adhesive. If any issues are discovered prior to installation please contact us for replacement instructions. Cover film removal will void the pickguard replacement warranty.

Pickguard Returns

Return eligibility is based on three main product categories, standard pickguards, modified-standard pickguards, and custom shop pickguards.

Return/Exchange Eligible Products

Standard Pickguards

Non-modified pickguards with an SKU model number (not "CUSTOM-#"), pickguards purchased in their original standard configuration or "as pictured". Standard pickguards in new original condition are eligible for exchange or refund and may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Replacement Only Products

Due to the handcrafted, custom nature of our products, modified standard models or custom shop pickguards are replacement only. Replacement only products may be returned if found to be defective or incorrect, they are otherwise non-returnable/non-refundable.

Modified-Standard Pickguards

Standard pickguards with modifications. This may include custom bevels, foil backing or other modifications such as the addition or deletion of control and pickup holes. Applying any specially marked (NR*) modification to a standard model will qualify the pickguard as modified-standard.

Custom Shop Pickguards

Pickguard models that are not available on our website or heavily modified standard models. Typically, custom pickguards are made from submitted tracings, original pickguards, custom tooling, or technical drawings. These pickguards may also include custom bevels, foil backing or other modifications such as the addition or deletion of control and pickup holes.

Other Exceptions
