Kluson® 3 Per Side Supreme Series Tuning Machines
The Kluson® Supreme series tuning machines have an 18:1 gear ratio in the traditional stamped steel housing. This particular set is designed for instruments using a 3 + 3 tuning machine set with an upgraded gear ratio to original machines.
The housing bears the series name "SUPREME" in place of the original "DELUXE" moniker but this is the only hint to what lies hidden under the dust cover. Using all vintage specs these tuning machines will drop right into your instrument using vintage 3 per side tuning machines with no modifications. The smooth and reliable performance of the Supreme Series outshines the rest in its class. This is a complete set and comes with left and right side machines with hardware needed for installation.

Take the Kluson challange!
Take a handful of tuning machines from other manufacturers and check the string winding post between your finger and your thumb, and check how much it wiggles from side to side. Now twist back and forth and see how much backlash it has. These tuners are tight! They stay in tune and turn more smoothly than the original Klusons. Now hold a modern Kluson up next to a 1960 vintage Kluson. Check out the color of the gold plating. Check the greenish ivory color of the key against the original. They are too close to call with my eyes, and am not colorblind. Here is a 1961 Gibson Dove prototype with 1961 Klusons and modern Klusons. Can you tell which is which? It has all modern Klusons on it now. They just work better. The originals are in the case with new keys from WD. This is a Hummingbird with a Dove long scale neck made a few months before the Dove was released. Very rare! I have no issues putting modern Klusons on it.

Real Kluson Tuners
So many fake copies of tuners on- line it's crazy... The only deal that makes life great .....is the real deal..not some Junk copy.. I've gone through 3 major makers.....except their Amazon fakes... dishonest sellers are everywhere on line.. The materials are day and night, the Klusons material are quality, the casing , the knobs , the shaft..no - play in the machine itself... Most important , they stay in tune... All of my Gibsons are getting Klusons, I've found a quality tuner.... Highly recommended, and WDmusic is a wonderful to do business with...
