Terms & Conditions For Retail Orders

For your protection and ours.

Due to increasing credit card fraud, if the ship to and bill to addresses on your order are not the same the order may be delayed while we verify the legitimacy of the transaction.

Terms

We have no minimum order for retail customers. Credit cards accepted are American Express, Discover, Visa and MasterCard. You may also pay for your order with PayPal which is very convenient, secure and does not require the use of a credit card. Checks and Money Orders are also accepted.

Shipping

UPS is our specific shipper of record and we offer the full gamut of their services from conventional Ground to any expedited or international service they offer.

USPS is also an option, but please understand that their tracking is non-existent. Also, while they advertise international Express Mail at 3-5 business days and Priority Mail at 6-10 business days, these transit times are NOT GUARANTEED like UPS and Priority Mail has been known to take as long as six weeks to deliver to some countries. USPS will not allow us to file a claim for loss until 90 days has passed.

If you have special shipping requirements we do not have arrangements with DHL, though we can use most other carriers and can ship with them using your account number.

We do ship internationally and will try and answer your questions about our international shipping department here. If you do not find an answer, please do not hesitate to call us at 800.449.9348 or email shipping@wdmusic.com. Questions about sales can be directed to sales@wdmusic.com.

Order Processing and Expedited Shipping

We value the opportunity to earn your business and try to process orders as quickly and accurately as possible. To be fair to all of our customers, we process orders in the order they are received. Some orders take longer to process than others because of size or specialized items included within the order. When a customer selects an Expedited Shipping method we do our best to process their order as quickly as possible but it is important to remember that selecting an Expedited method does not affect the time it takes to process and ship an order. Expedited shipping methods only speed up the transit time once your order has been picked up by the carrier. Items we manufacture here such as pickguards will directly affect order processing time as WD Pickguards are cut to order due to all of the options and different materials available.

Why are the shipping rates so high?

UPS is our shipper of record and we have found that they are consistently on time and deliver our products without damage. Both the customer and WD have the ability to track the package from the time it leaves our warehouse and all packages are insured against damage or loss. The rates provided are UPS published rates; we have no control over them.

In most instances USPS is cheaper. Express Mail advertises three to five business days; Priority Mail advertises 6-10 business days. Please understand that USPS tracking is non-existent and their transit times ARE NOT GUARANTEED like UPS. Priority Mail to some countries has taken as long as six weeks to deliver. This is something we have no control over and USPS will not even let us file a claim for loss until after 90 days.

We will not ship pickguards in envelopes. Any customer who wishes to use an alternate service can place their order by calling 877-WDMUSIC or by contacting sales@wdmusic.com and we will ship with whatever carrier you wish.

I'm located in Canada, why can't I select my country at checkout?

WD Music Products, Inc. has an exclusive distribution agreement with Yorkville Sound in Canada. Please contact Yorkville directly to order WD products through your local distributor or retail outlets.

Can I change the currency?

Currently all of the amounts are listed in American dollars. We have been working on adding other currencies to improve your shopping experience.

What if I have special shipping requests and instructions?

No problem. Our shipping department will work diligently to ensure your package is sent the way you want it. Special directions can be added when ordering in the "Ordering Instructions" section of the check out. Whatever your needs, we will do our best to accommodate you.

Do specials apply internationally?

Yes. Our specials are open for all of our clients on sale items. Unfortunately, shipping specials do not apply to orders outside of the continental U.S.

What about Customs?

You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information.

Can WD ship as a "gift" or put a lower value for Customs?

No. We have many international customers both retail and wholesale, and can not jeopardize our position as an international shipper.

Where is my tracking number?

We send an email confirmation with the tracking number upon shipment of your order. If you have not received your confirmation email it may have been blocked by your "spam" or "junk" email filter. If your order has shipped and you still have not received your tracking number please call the phone number listed above or contact sales@wdmusic.com.

Returns

WD® Music has an established history of making sure that their customers are satisfied. We believe that an unhappy customer is a customer that does not return. We carefully review all customer feedback and complaints, we quickly cut through red tape and ensure that you do not get lost in the shuffle.

Prior to returning, you must fill out an RMA Request Form or contact Customer Service at 800.449.9348 for an RMA number. All returns must have an RMA number. Any items returned without an RMA or complete original packaging/contents will be refused. If the reason for return is our error (incorrect or defective items) full credit will be refunded. Any part which, in our opinion, shows evidence of being used or installed contrary to manufacturer's instructions, and/or subjected to improper handling, packaging, or shipping by the customer will not be eligible for exchange, refund or warranty consideration. We reserve the right to charge a 15% restocking fee or refuse any exceptions. No RMA will be issued beyond 30 days of original receipt of goods by the customer. RMA's are expected to be returned within 15 days of receipt of RMA number.

Special sales & clearance items are "final sale" and ineligible for return. Exceptions will be made for factory defects or errors in shipment.

Backordered items

On web orders any backordered item already paid for will ship as soon as available. Unless oversize or overweight, or agreed to beforehand, there will be no added freight on backorders. Backorders will not be accepted for special clearance items, any backorders received for clearance items will be immediately refunded. Prices and availability subject to change.

Special Order/Made-to Order Items

See the pickguard section for detailed ordering instructions. All custom made pickguards made from tracings or those with non-standard routs are carefully inspected prior to shipping to ensure the highest degree of accuracy and quality. These guards are non-returnable (final sale) so please be sure that what you send or order is exactly what you want. Remember, the guard can only be as accurate as the tracing.

Necks

All WD® necks are fully finished with the highest quality finishes and manufactured of the highest quality woods. They are not dipped in sealer! Some necks may require a minor level and polish. This is perfectly normal and is not considered a defect. WD® contemporary style necks have a double action truss rod which adjusts in 2 directions while the vintage necks use a single action rod which adjusts only 1 way. All necks should be carefully inspected prior to installation and/or modification as the neck is rendered non-returnable once altered. Some necks may have minor grain imperfections due to the organic nature of the material. These are not seconds or "blems ". Please contact customer service if you have any questions or concerns about your neck when it arrives. WD® cannot guarantee exact neck pocket fit due to varying manufacturer tolerances, wood shrinkage or expansion over time etc. Some neck pocket modification may be required. If you are not familiar with this procedure please contact a professional for assistance.
