It's exactly the neck I'd been looking for
I'd been looking for a more meaty tele neck for quite a while; unfortunaltely I couldn't find one in Germany or within the EU. When I finally came to WD-music's webside I saw just the right neck; since I wanted a really dark fretboard I decided for the ebony one. It arrived within a week and it has exactly the specs promised on the webside. It was easy to install, fits perfectly and is a joy to look at and especially to play. The satin finish is flawless and gives a good feel. If your interested here a details to the body I "married" it with: I have a partscaster with a blonde swamp ash-body from the mid-eighties; unfortunately, its one-piece maple neck was rather thin. Since I've got a butterscotch blonde MIJ Telecaster from 1983 I wanted to change the partscaster to a dark fretboard neck. Rosewood would have done, but ebony really looks and feels great. And the tone now is killer!
The neck is very straight, I'm glad there is no skunk stripe and I like the modern C profile with 12" radius fretboard. The only complaint is that the fret edges were sharp but for the price that is to be expected, and I rounded them off in short order. Overall this neck is a very good value, I don't think you can find better quality for the price.
Fantastic tele neck
I love these replacement necks! I just fit one to a loaded Jim Root body and it really rocks.
