(4) use pilot holes when installing the wood screws and to avoid splitting the wood. (5) only the leading wood screw nearest the trem sets the distance and bears the force of the block; ensure you have this screw tight to the edge of the oval hole. (6) the screw furthest away from the trem is only stabilizes the cleat to the guitar and keep it from flipping up. Try to locate this as far back as possible in the oval hole.
