| PRE-WIRED ASSEMBLY- PJ BASS Our standard wired assemblies come with a white/black/white pickguard but other color guards are available at a slight additional charge (please email for further info) The following pickup(s) are used in this assembly VJBR Alnico magnets / D.C. resistance=8K- Following shortly after the introduction of the hum-cancelling split-P pickup, the now classic Jazz pickups have a characteristic single coil tone VPB Alnico magnets / D.C. resistance=10K- If it ain't broke, don't fix it. When introduced in 1957, the 'split-P' pickup was a breakthrough in ways that many people didn't appreciate. By keeping the two coils under two strings, this design minimizes hum while retaining the clarity and transparency of a single coil since there is no phase cancellation. With alnico V magnets and black covers, its the real thing! |
